Effect of Demand Response Programs on Industrial Specific Energy Consumption: Study at Three Cement Plants

Demand-side management (DSM) is the modification of consumer utilization manner for energy through various methods to smooth their power consumption curve and increase efficiency. Although DSM improves electricity grid stability protects environment, it allows customers reduce costs. The available literature classifies into two different areas: (i) efficiency (EE) (ii) demand response (DR). In other words, cement plants are largest electricity, so implementation programs in these heavy industries very important companies. Past studies have often examined impact DR factories on solving peak problems changing load profiles but not studied effects index short long term industries. this paper, while examining effect implementing three types common smart grids including bidding (DB), ancillary services (A/S), time use (TOU) profile plants, based mathematical model real data case study, shown that TOU program has created highest by reducing specific (SEC) plants.
